    It is the mission of L.I.F.E., Inc. to provide support to children and adults with developmental disabilities while ensuring that they flourish as individuals both at home and within their community. It is our goal to create services which enable people with disabilities and their families to live as fully and independently as possible.

Living in Family Environments

L.I.F.E. Inc. has been a provider of services for individuals with Developmental Disabilities dating back to 1997. It was originally founded by its owner, Mary Hall, as a way of providing advocacy and ongoing supports for her children as well as several families who were in need of quality services. Since then it has grown to help individuals throughout the central Ohio area and to address a wide variety of needs. L.I.F.E. Inc. is dedicated to bringing out the best in those we support in order to live life at their greatest potential.

Meet the Owner

Mary Hall, Owner has over 45 years of experience working as a Manager of MR/DD services. Prior to starting Living in Family Environments, Mary was a Program Director at the Childhood League Center for 2 years, and the Director of Operations for the Easter Seals Society of Central Ohio for 10 years. She opened Living in Family Environments in 1997 with the goal of improving the lives of those who live with Developmental Disabilities. She also has started her own foster care agency, LifeStart, in which she continues in her role as Chief Executive Officer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia State College and a Masters of Arts degree from Marshall University. She is a Licensed Social worker in the State of Ohio.

Mary started Living in Family Environments primarily due to her own personal experience of raising three children with severe disabilities. She saw a great need to advocate for improved care, independent lifestyles, and improved quality of life for people with Developmental Disabilities. She believed she could do this best by starting her own company. Understanding the stress placed on families with Developmentally Disabled members, she incorporated a strong family-centered approach to the company’s services. The goal, as always, is to help the individuals and the families we serve achieve financial, physical and emotional stability.

Mary remains strongly involved in advocacy services for the Developmentally Disabled.
